Josh Dun is an American musician, widely recognized as the skilled drummer of the popular musical duo Twenty One Pilots.

Born on June 18, 1988, in Columbus, Ohio, Joshua William Dun showed an early interest in music. He initially began playing the trumpet during his school years but eventually gravitated toward the drums, teaching himself how to play. Despite his parents' disapproval, he secretly listened to punk rock bands, using an electronic drum set to replicate and master their beats. Before joining Twenty One Pilots, Josh served as the drummer for the band House of Heroes, stepping in to replace their former drummer and contributing to several tracks on the album "Suburba".

In 2011, Josh attended a live performance by Twenty One Pilots and was deeply impressed. After the show, he met Tyler Joseph, the band's lead singer. Over the following days, a strong friendship developed between the two. Later, when bassist Nick Thomas and drummer Chris Salih left the band, Josh officially joined Twenty One Pilots.

Since then, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun have worked together to release some of the band's most successful albums, including "Vessel" in 2013 and "Blurryface" in 2015. These albums featured hit tracks like "Stressed Out", which gained massive popularity.
