Play Iron Maiden with Nicko McBrain drumsticks
Michael Henry Nicko McBrain is the drummer of English band Iron Maiden,
one of the first bands of heavy metal music.
Nicko McBrain was born in Hackney, London, he decided to learn drums
at a young age after seeing Joe Morello perform with the Dave Brubeck Quartet on television.
He started playing with pots and other cooking utensils, until his father gave him his first drum kit.
Nicko McBrain joined Iron Maiden in 1983,
replacing drummer Clive Burr, to record their fourth album "Piece Of Mind".
A year earlier he had already played in the tour of Iron Maiden with the support band Trust.
Being an expert drummer, Nicko McBrain in the 70s played drums in some Pat Travers' albums. Then, in the early 80s,
as he was the drummer of the band McKitty, he met bass player Steve Harris, founder of Iron Maiden, during their first concert abroad.
Many years have passed since then, but Nicko McBrain is still one of the most popular drummers of heavy metal music.
