Let the virtual drummer guide you through your drums practice.
One hand training routines for beginner drummers.
In the sheet of this lesson you'll find some exercises on snare drum to practice with left and right hand separately.
The second drum lesson dealing with alternate hands shows some exercises about fourths, eights, sixteenths and triplets of eights.
It's very important to try to keep the same approach with both hands, as much as possible.
You should play every pattern slowly at first, increasing the speed only when you find
precision and equality of the strokes, and the maximum looseness,
concentrating the work on the fingers and avoiding using the movement of the wrists and arms.
After you have learnt them singularly, you should play all the nine exercises in the drum sheet consecutively.
In the next online lessons on the
single strokes
we will find other training routines with practice on snare drum shown by the virtual drummer.
