Essential drum training for Latin Jazz drumming with the virtual drummer.

Sheet music and online drum tutorials about coordination.

This series of drum tutorials covers an essential topic for the training of every drummer, Latin Jazz coordination.

Latin rhythms have always influenced all musical genres, from Rock to Jazz and Pop music from all over the world, which is why the study of drum technique cannot miss a section dedicated to Latin Jazz.
In the scores of these five drum tutorials on Latin Jazz drumming you will find exercises with different combinations of kick and snare drum strokes on a basic pattern with a steady right hand playing on the ride cymbal, and every bar second and fourth fourth played by the hi-hat, as in the drum lessons dedicated to Rock and Jazz coordination.

Start slowly and gradually increase the speed, finally play all the exercises in a row. By pressing the CHAIN button the virtual drums will also play all the lines in sequence.

In this case the drum sheet splits the staff in two parts: the upper one shows the ride and hi-hat steady pattern, the lower one shows the snare and bass drum strokes. In this lesson the first exercise presents the basic Latin Jazz pattern, the following ones add snare drum single strokes on fourth and eighth notes.
