The sheet of this drum beat lessons dedicated to basic rhythm exercises contains the main Rock and Blues Shuffle beats.

The second part dealing with basic rhythm exercises is about Shuffle. Originally a blues groove, the Shuffle rhythm is often used in other musical styles like Rock, Funk and Pop. Shuffle has a triplets going, and these drum beats are composed by a 4/4 measure.

In the drum sheet the staff is divided in two parts: the higher one is a combination of cymbal strokes and hi-hat strokes played by foot, the lower one is dedicated to bass and snare drum.
