The second part dealing with basic rhythm exercises is about Shuffle. Originally a blues groove, the Shuffle rhythm is often used in other musical styles like Rock, Funk and Pop. Shuffle has a triplets going, and these drum beats are composed by a 4/4 measure.
In the drum sheet the staff is divided in two parts: the higher one is a combination of cymbal strokes and hi-hat strokes played by foot, the lower one is dedicated to bass and snare drum.
